Protection from Earth's Natural Changes: Shark Tank Edition

This group was students will be combining science standards of Earth's surface changes over time (4th) and weather (5th). These 4th grade students were asked to invent with the purposed of solving a problem - erosion. This opportunity centers instruction on real-world, observable events to drive student curiosity and inquiry (phenomena-based learning). Students engineered solutions that slow, redirect, or reduce momentum to prevent erosion.
