From Breath to Brain: Teaching Emotional Regulation Through a Grade 9 Positive Psychology Course

This session will share the design, implementation, and outcomes of a Grade 9 Positive Psychology option course, developed to address the growing mental health needs of students through social-emotional learning (SEL) and mindfulness strategies. Teachers attending this session will learn: How to embed SEL and mindfulness practices into classroom routines Strategies for creating safe, nonjudgmental spaces where students can build coping strategies for stress and anxiety management
