Communicating and Correcting: Supporting Young Children with Challenging Behaviors

Many of the strategies for behavioral guidance and classroom based mental health strategies involve connecting with children and calming. This presentation uses the foundation built through connecting and calming to support young children through beahvioral difficulties by adding communicating and correcting. Participants will explore developmentally appropriate ways to communicate with young children and help young children communicate around behavior, as well as developmentally appropriate ways to correct and change undesirable behavior.
