How to Integrate Literacy & Math in your PreK Classroom

As a Head Start teacher and early childhood consultant with 19 years of experience, I bring a real-world approach that connects with both new and experienced educators. My presentation, Essentials of Early Childhood Education: Foundations, DAP, and Family Engagement, focuses on what teachers need most—practical strategies that support children’s learning and help build stronger connections with families. I’ve had the opportunity to work with children in different communities as well as teach and mentor adult learners through CDA and Pre-K courses. These experiences have taught me how to make learning meaningful, interactive, and inclusive. I understand the challenges many educators face, and my goal is to share tools that are easy to use and truly effective. I want every teacher to leave feeling more confident, supported, and ready to make a difference in their classroom.
