The Measurement & Evaluation (M&E) JoAnne Safrit Lecture, hosted by the M&E Special Interest Group, honors JoAnne Safrit’s lasting contributions to measurement in kinesiology. Each year, a distinguished scholar is invited to deliver a keynote address on critical measurement issues related to physical education, physical activity, physical fitness, health, exercise science, and sport.
This year’s lecture—“Applications of the Youth Activity Profile Tool for the Assessment and Promotion of Physical Activity in Youth”—will be presented by Gregory J. Welk. SHAPE America members with an interest in measurement are encouraged to attend.
