Thematic Activities for Inclusive Physical Education

This presentation highlights thematic activities designed and implemented by preservice physical education (PE) and adapted physical education (APE) teachers at CSU, Long Beach. Centered on accessibility and inclusivity, the activities engage students with diverse abilities through creative, hands-on experiences. Examples include sorting games, relays, ball-handling and locomotor skill challenges, dance, and relaxation exercises. Emphasis is placed on innovative, trend-informed themes that boost motivation and participation. Attendees will actively participate in universally designed games and activities tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
