3A: Amplifying Adult/Student Partnership in Improvement Science

Tuesday 31 March 2026·9:15 pm

What happens when students and adults work side by side as equal partners in leading change? At Eagle Rock, we’ve found that collaboration grounded in belonging, shared decision-making, and wellness creates a powerful foundation for improvement. In this workshop, participants will explore how Improvement Science can be amplified when adults and students act as co-learners and co-leaders. Drawing on over a decade of experience at Eagle Rock’s Professional Development Center and training with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, we’ll share practical strategies for strengthening adult/student partnerships that drive meaningful innovation. Participants will learn how to elevate student voice alongside adult expertise, foster belonging through authentic collaboration, and apply shared leadership to strengthen Improvement Science projects creating lasting, real-world impact in schools and communities.
