4C: From Hidden to Found: Using Improvement Science to Drive Compelling Results for LTMLLs

Wednesday 1 April 2026·5:00 pm

Participants will reverse-engineer the "thrilling results" of Long-Term Multilingual Learners (LTMLL) who were once hidden in plain sight, but are now "found." We begin with "Diego," whose academic breakthrough was made possible by a profound shift in adult learning. Participants will deconstruct the "active ingredients" of our Adult Learning Change Package, exploring how our hub team used improvement science and human-centered design to move beyond compliance. You will construct a "Meta-Driver Diagram" to uncover how we built the enabling conditions for collective teacher agency and inquiry-led leadership. Finally, we will share strategies for internal spread and sustainability, equipping you to "find" and accelerate improvement in your own context. Note: This Summit session also invites attendees from the Deeper Learning Conference to participate. At Deeper Learning 2026 (DL26), a global community of educators, visionaries, and change-makers unites to reimagine what's possible in education. The Deeper Learning Conference features immersive and transformative learning experiences that inspire participants to design and lead with purpose, creativity, and joy. In 2026, we're bringing together the powerful Deeper Learning and Improvement communities through select crossover sessions, culminating in a joint closing keynote. You are invited to dive deeper and make new connections at Summit 2026. Check out our Summit and DL26 comparison to learn more.
