4J: Designing Expected Outcomes to Unlock Literacy Potential: EmPOWERing Schools to Accelerate Proficiency

Join us on a powerful journey as we share the ABC+Ds of our improvement efforts and discover how schools can accelerate literacy outcomes for all students. In this session, we will demonstrate how adopting research-based practices, implementing strategic leadership support structures, and using a gradual-release teacher-coaching model can dramatically improve student proficiency.  Drawing on decades of meta and literacy-specific research, we’ll address systemic barriers to reading success and provide practical, data-driven strategies for sustained improvement. Participants will gain practical tools and strategies that they can apply immediately in their own contexts. Specifically, we will introduce the Change Matrix process tool, which participants can use to develop a Theory of Action to overcome barriers and to fuel their continuous improvement journey in literacy. You’ll leave feeling hopeful, empowered, and prepared!
