4N: Student-Led Improvement: Methods for Engaging Students as Improvers
Join us to explore success stories and practical methods from four years of student-led improvement in Oregon’s NWRESD student network. Each year, more than 50 high school student interns use continuous improvement to examine their own school systems, design and test change ideas, collect data, and advocate for more connected and inclusive school cultures. Drawing on lessons learned across this work, we will share concrete principles and strategies for meaningfully engaging students in improvement efforts. Regardless of your current level of student involvement, this session will offer practical entry points and examples you can adapt to your context. Attendees will leave with initial plans and tools for trying at least one new approach to increasing student voice and leadership in improvement work.
