Poetry In Voice: Canada's Poetry Recitation Competition

Poetry in Voice/Les voix de la poésie is a registered charity that wants all Canadians to speak poetry. To achieve this, we are striving to become the essential resource for teaching and learning poetry in Canada — and beyond. Everything we offer is free of cost. Our programs and projects are written and delivered by renowned Canadian poets who connect contemporary poetry directly with students. Participants in this session will have the opportunity to work with Calgary ELA teacher, Tyler Perry, who has used PIV in his classroom since 2013. You will also leave with a two-week unit plan that you can begin implementing with your students tomorrow. 6 Participants
