A Framework for Curriculum Review: Best Practices and Perspectives

Saturday 7 February 2026·10:00 am

Following the creation of curriculum designed to develop "Future Ready Learners," schools need a set of practices to assess the impact of the curriculum implementation. This session will explore three important questions about assessing the impact of curriculum: 1. Why are new assessment practices needed to measure the impact of curriculum? 2. What are the best assessment strategies to engage learners and promote their continuous development? 3. How do you develop assessments that measure both academic skills and "future ready" skills? This workshop is intended for teachers, curriculum leaders, and heads of school. As a result of attendance at this workshop, participants will: Develop an understanding of how to define expectations for learning. Review student-centered assessment practices and the role of feedback. Examine the benefits of moving from a single assessment to an assessment system. NOTE: Participants should consider also attending "Contextualizing Curriculum Design: Innovating the Curriculum for Self and Global Awareness" which explores the role of curriculum in developing Future Ready Learners and effective curriculum design principles. Join on Saturday, Feb 7 at 10:15 a.m. or on Sunday, Feb 8 at 10:15 a.m.
