Developing Learner and Teacher Profiles that Align with the School’s Vision and Guiding Statements
In a forward-thinking education system, clarity of purpose is paramount. This interactive 90-minute workshop guides school leaders, educators, and curriculum designers through the process of creating learner and teacher profiles that reflect the school’s vision, guiding statements, and commitment to transformational learning. Participants will explore how aligned profiles can drive coherence in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment, ultimately cultivating an innovative and impact-driven learning culture. This session will also connect to Dubai’s Education 33 strategy to establish a future-ready education ecosystem, emphasizing learner agency and learner and teacher capacity to lead change. By the end of this session, participants will: Understand the role of learner and teacher profiles in expressing a school's educational vision and desired learning impacts. Use the ACE Learning Principles and SUHQL framework to identify the essential qualities, competencies, and dispositions for future-ready learners and educators. Reflect on current practices and draft aligned learner and teacher profiles that integrate the school’s aspirations with actionable pedagogical and strategic approaches.
