Lit Happens, Harness your Prompt Power
Part of GETCA 2026
Thursday 26 February 2026·8:00 pm
In this session, we’ll explore a practical and engaging approach to junior high school book clubs using prompts to drive student-led conversation and deeper reading. Designed for grades 7–9, this model empowers students to take ownership of their reading through thoughtful discussion, peer connection, and meaningful activities centered on flexible prompts. You’ll walk away with a ready-to-use resource that can be easily adapted for your classroom. We'll share how this approach promotes student voice, builds literacy skills, and creates a culture where students are motivated to read — and talk about — great books.
