Biliteracy by Design: Using Learning Science to Champion Linguistic Justice
Saturday 7 March 2026·6:40 pm
A wise person once said: Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad. The same is true in dual language classrooms—knowing two languages is not enough; skillfully using them to promote deep learning matters. In this session, educators explore how the Science of Learning applies to dual language instruction and experience it through a dual language lens. Participants leave with instructional shifts that strengthens language transfer, honors multilingual learners, and improve academic outcomes across content areas.
