What if engaging families improved your overall wellbeing? Not only is it possible, it’s the way engaging with families and others is meant to be. In this workshop you will discover how to use your whole brain and body to authentically connect to self, students, colleagues, and families. Objectives By the end of this presentation participants will be able to do the following: • Examine the current mental model for family engagement; • Describe the impact that leadership embodiment and brain-based learning principles have on our interactions with families. • Practice skills that incorporate leadership embodiment and brain-based learning principles to connect to self, colleagues, and families; • Foster leadership among colleagues and team members for making connections with families.
