Liberation Literature with First and Second Graders
Saturday 7 March 2026·9:15 pm
Introducing a 1st/2nd grade unit, “Liberation Literature,” an innovative curriculum that elicits ideas from children about the meaning of liberation and supports them in growing and documenting such ideas. We use a diverse set of picture books and discussion strategies to discuss themes of freedom, freedom dreaming, and identity. Participants will engage in dialogue, book study, and Q&A.
