Creating a literacy block that supports all learners—especially English as an Additional Language (EAL) students—requires intentional planning and effective strategies. This workshop will explore high-impact practices that benefit not only EAL learners but all students. Drawing on key components of effective literacy instruction as identified by Dr. Tim Shanahan—including oral language, morphology, reading comprehension, and writing.
