3N: Teacher-Led Improvement: Applying Data Wise for Measurable Math Results

In this session, participants will learn how two high-potential schools—Wingland Elementary (Standard ESD) and Vineland Elementary (Vineland ESD)—achieved significant math gains by engaging in the Data Wise Improvement Process. Guided by a certified Data Wise coach, both schools focused on a single instructional strategy—Three Reads at Vineland and HOT problems at Wingland—and exceeded their long-term proficiency goals. Participants will explore each of the eight steps of the Data Wise process, gaining a clear understanding of how the steps connect to one another and collectively drive measurable results. Principals will share candid stories of implementation, highlighting both wins and challenges, and the teachers’ central role in leading the work. Participants will engage with sample tools, reflect on applying them in their own contexts, and leave with practical insights on collaboration, strategy selection, and sustaining teacher-led improvement
