Vocational Training: Preparing Students for the Future

The workshop will focus on the core principles and benefits of American Career and Technical Education (CTE), identifying ways to develop and implement effective CTE pathways. Specific examples of American CTE programs will be discussed. The workshop will also focus on explaining how CTE can be adapted to the GCC context. Participants will be able to identify ways to adapt and implement CTE effectively within the cultural and educational frameworks of the UAE and GCC, and; Explain how CTE programs can bridge the skills gap and equip students with the skills needed for emerging industries and the future job market within the UAE and GCC. Policy makers, career and vocational leaders, and those seeking to design alternate pathways are invited to attend.
