Breath, Language, and Harmony in Multilingual Preschool Classrooms
The workshop integrates mindfulness, SEL, and culturally responsive practices. The focus is on equipping early childhood educators with concrete strategies—such as breathwork, mindful movement, and inclusive language practices—that support children’s regulation and identity development while affirming their home languages. This is highly relevant to today’s EL educators, who are challenged to create linguistically and emotionally safe classrooms amid growing diversity. The session fills a critical need by linking SEL with language equity, demonstrating how honoring children’s full linguistic selves enhances belonging, reduces stress, and cultivates harmony in learning communities.
