From the Classroom to the Comunidad: Strengthening Language Learning Through Family & Community Engagement
Saturday 7 March 2026·2:45 pm
Language learning thrives when students see their identities reflected beyond the classroom. This session explores practical ways to connect Spanish programs with families and communities through culturally responsive projects, bilingual showcases, and partnerships that celebrate student voices. Drawing from early childhood through secondary examples, participants will discover how engaging families and honoring students’ lived experiences can boost motivation, belonging, and authentic language use while making Spanish learning visible, meaningful, and community-centered.
