Preparing Rhode Island's Multilingual Educators
Saturday 7 March 2026·4:10 pm
Learn about the Preparing Rhode Island’s Multilingual Educators (PRIME) group. PRIME was born in 2024 from conversations among educators, advocates, and institutions committed to diversifying Rhode Island’s educator workforce. These discussions identified that despite several promising programs, a lack of coordination has created confusion and barriers—particularly for underrepresented and nontraditional candidates. PRIME’s goal is to address this by aligning fragmented efforts into a coherent, culturally responsive system. Learn about collaboration efforts, current and future projects, and the vision for bilingual education in Rhode Island.
