1C: How to Use Teams and Student Voice to Change Your Culture

Do you want to change the culture in your building? Do you want to know what your students think about how teachers are teaching? Are you committed to continuous improvement? Then you should attend this session. Toney and Eric will present the work that has been done at Waukegan High school around Grade Level Teams (GLT), learning cycles, “kid talks”, and incorporating student voices. Through hands-on activities, you will engage as a member of a GLT and work through a problem of practice by looking at data, making connections to your work, reviewing student responses, and planning for next steps. You will also have time to plan to translate the learning to your building.
