1B: School Sparks, System Shifts: A Blueprint for Scaling Improvement

Too often, the impact of promising school-level innovations and improvements fails to extend beyond the individual classroom or campus. The DC Public Schools Design Lab is working to create the conditions for community-driven innovations to scale up and drive districtwide improvement. Equal parts narrative from key stakeholders and turnkey resources that participants can take back to their own settings, DC Public Schools will share their approach to ensure school-led innovation drives larger district improvement. School- and district-level leaders will share their experiences and lessons learned, while engaging participants in DCPS's approach to sharing, refining, and enabling promising school practices as a district improvement strategy.
