2B: Hardwire, Don't Hope: Systemwide Improvement Practices for Leaders

Leadership is an accelerator for equitable outcomes and sustained system improvement. Yet, in many organizations, leadership development is fragmented and left to chance. This session brings together executive leaders from school districts who are using a decade of evidence-based improvement practices to scale student learning and system results. Attendees will hear directly from executive leaders of diverse district communities on how they are dismantling fragmented processes and building improvement capability across every department and into every classroom. Learn how these leaders are breaking down systemic barriers, ensuring equitable access, and driving system-wide results. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to hardwire leadership “always actions” that advance improvement culture and improvement strategy and how to apply these in their own organizations.
