3K: From Insight to Action: Driving Continuous Improvement with Institutional Dashboards

We improved the process time from 44 days to 11 days. We all want continuous improvement, but how do you actually embed it into the complex rhythms of a large organization? In this interactive session, you’ll move beyond theory using the A3 framework to build a concrete plan that reinforces accountability and student success in your own context. CCC has been on a multi-year journey to define, measure, and strengthen institutional health as a foundation for continuous improvement. The developed of an Institutional Health dashboard ecosystem and Continuous Improvement Playbook together built capacity for improvement, transparency, and accountability districtwide. This session offers a timely and practical case study in how leadership, data, and disciplined routines can create the conditions for sustained continuous improvement across a large, complex higher education system. Leaders learned to use data not as compliance but as a catalyst for inquiry, embedding continuous improvement into Cabinet and departmental rhythms and reinforcing that every unit influences student success. In this interactive workshop, participants will use the A3 framework to translate insights into their own contexts, developing actionable strategies to support, spread, and sustain improvement.
