Spotlight Lesson Demonstration: Collaboration for Cross-Language Connections

In November 2025, MABE arranged DLBE Spotlight Lesson Demonstrations across MA, RI and CT. Spotlight teachers were supported by MABE in lesson planning and visitors participated in pre- and post-observation meetings around the demonstration lesson. In this presentation, from a grade 3 team at Di Loreto, New Britain, CT, teachers will highlight the collaboration between the team of coach, English and Spanish teacher and how they purposefully planned connections between the two languages. Learn from their experience as they share their original lesson plan, explain modifications to fit their DLBE class, and share video clips, pictures, and feedback they took from the visit.
